Interim Orders
When a matter comes to the attention of the Registrar or the Complaints Committee where a registrant (dentist or dental assistant) may pose a significant risk to public safety, an interim order may be imposed.
An interim order may include:
- a licence suspension,
- a practice restriction, or
- other measures permitted by legislation required to protect the public.
An interim order will be published on this page (in accordance with Section 137(2)(a) of the Regulated Health Professions Act ideally as soon as the interim order comes into effect.
In accordance with Section 137(2)(b) through (e) of the Regulated Health Professions Act the Registrar shall communicate notification of the interim order to other persons or agencies where doing so would be consistent with the objects of the regulatory body and in the public interest.
