Licence Renewals for Dental Assistants Winter/Spring 2026

The renewal period for dental assistants closed on April 30, 2026. The information below is for information purposes.

If you are among the dental assistants whose licence is now expired and would like to have it reinstated, please contact our office at 902-240-0083.

General Information

On March 12, 2026 the renewal period opened for dental assistants.

Dental assistants are able to access the online renewal form within the registrant portal at this link.

DEADLINE: Renewal forms must be submitted by April 15, 2026.

You will not have to enter payment information when you submit this form. Once the form is submitted, there will be administrative processes on our end before notifications are sent to dentists to complete the payment process. It is for this reason that we cannot guarantee that renewals submitted after the April 15 deadline will be finalized by the absolute deadline of April 30.

If you have a legitamite reason why you cannot submit your renewal form by April 15 (e.g., your BLS refresher will take place between April 15 and April 29) please call our office at 902-420-0083.

FEES: The annual licence fee for dental assistants is $324 (the same as last year).

Although the 2026 budget approved by the Board in September included a 5% fee increase for dentist licences and a 7% increase for corporation permits, there was no increase to the licence fee for dental assistants. The complete NSRDDA fee schedule can be found on our website at this link.

There are two sections to the renewal form:

    • Profile Update
