Graduates of Non-Accredited Dental Assisting Programs
Dental assistants who have graduated from a dental assisting program which is non accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) must successfully complete the Written Examination and the Clinical Practice Evaluation (CPE) administered by the National Dental Assisting Examining Board (NDAEB).
The NDAEB website outlines the minimum criteria that a dental assisting program must meet in order for its graduates to be eligible to challenge the NDAEB examinations.
A comprehensive listing of Canadian dental assisting programs, both accredited and non-accredited, whose graduates are eligible to challenge NDAEB examinations can be found at this link.
